It’s amazing the stuff you miss… even when you have your ear to the ground. Sanders Bohlke is legit.

I can see the neo-soul tag he’s wearing, but his compound seems much deeper and diverse within the live videos I’ve seen today. To be honest, what I’m hearing out of his recorded material just doesn’t bring to light how cool this kid could be.

Thanks to HeroHill’s HeroHall & Oats Christmas Compilation, I’ve had the great fortune of stumbling upon Rae Spoon’s interpretation of H & O’s Rich Boy. It’s not perfect, but there is this gorgeous detachment and almost effortless arrangement that is really pulling me in… a little Scout Niblett, a little Anni Rossi… and you know I love that shit!
